The Captains

This is my long awaited shrine to one of the most popular and entertaining science fiction series of all time. The brainchild of the late Gene Rodenberry, Star Trek brought to viewers four television series', eight full length movies, and a myriad of lifeforms and adventures. So! Enjoy my site and feel free to send me any thoughts or comments you have.

James T. Kirk (William Shatner)

James Tiberius Kirk is from Riverside, Iowa; he was married in "Paradise Syndrome", and is now a widower. He was also in love (if he knows the meaning of the word) with someone named "Ruth" ("Shore Leave"), and mentioned that he almost married that little blonde lab tech that Gary Mitchell steered Kirk's way ("Where No Man Has Gone Before") which some have guessed to be none other than Carol Marcus. He had a son, David Marcus ("ST2: The Wrath of Khan", "ST3: The Search for Spock"). He had a brother George Samuel Kirk (only Jim calls him Sam) who died in "Opperation--Annihilate!" and has a nephew Peter.

Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart)

Picard (Serial Number: SP-937-215) was born in 2305 in the small town of LaBarre, France, Earth. He applied to Star Fleet Academy in 2322, but was not admitted. He was admitted the following year, in 2323. In the Academy, Picard won top academic honors, and was also the first freshman ever to win the Academy marathon on Danulla II. Soon after his graduation, Picard was stabbed by a Nausican on Starbase Earhart, which required his heart to be replaced by an artificial one. In 2333, Picard was offered command of the U.S.S. Stargazer after he showed his command ability by taking charge of the bridge when the captain was killed. He was later given command of the Star Fleet flagship, U.S.S. Enterprise.

Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks)

Originally from New Orleans, the son of a Chef, Benjamin Sisko attended Starfleet Academy in San Francisco. He rose rapidly through the ranks and was a Commander on the USS Saratoga when it was destroyed by the Borg during the attack at Wolf 359. His wife, Jennifer was killed during the attack and he was left to bring up his son, Jake, by himself. For three years after the Borg attack, Sisko was a broken man, never being able to recover from the shattering loss of his wife. During this time, he worked at the Utopia Planitia shipyards working on various projects including the prototype of the anti-Borg gunship (the USS Defiant). He was reassigned to Deep Space Nine as it's commander when the Cardassians pulled out of their occupation of Bajor. When he negotiated an understanding with some lifeforms who live outside time allowing the use of the Wormhole in Bajoran space, he became an important figure in Bajoran religon, The Emissary.
